Hi
I use a humanware brlallenote apex and while you can play games, they're only text adventure interactive fiction. While these bring entertainment, I don't like them because they have no replay value and/or they're not a long term thing. So, I've found a couple text-based games that I'd like to share with you (one of them given to me by a zone member).
The dark grimoire http://www.darkgrimoire.net: phantasy mmorpg
Starwake: http://www.starwake.net/register.php?ref=147141: science fiction rpg.

These are both longterm games that have a lot of replay value. Let me knw what you think and ifyou've found any.

You might give tarranoth a try. I'm not sure if it works on notetakers, but it's text-based and perfectly accessible.

I also find that if you download and pay for the Vipmud software, you'll get an amazing variety of text-based games. I forget the actual web address, but I think it's something like GMA Games. Also try www.sryth.com, which is a fantasy RPG. I liked it until I was able to download vipmud and get Alteraeon and a host of other games. Right now I'm not doing so much gaming this moment because I'm attempting to switch computers and get two operating systems on one computer. IN that regard, I've got a lot of work to do, but I hope to get back at the gaming in a while, plus maybe I can upload a youtube video eventually of me playing and singing.

Well, if I could do that, you could bet your life I would. But, I don't have a pc

If I could do that I would not be posting this and asking for other text mmorpgs. But, I don't have a pc anymore, it broke. Does anyone know of any great `sci-fi games with a whole lot to do, a whole lot to explore, and a whole lot to battle? Also, full accessibility, the game starwake won't let me access the cosmo dome, that's just sad, also from the same developer, dark warriors won't let me access the game credits shop. I don't know if thre are no links on the page, highly doubt it. Thing is: a lot of these online games were not intended for blind individuals unfortunately.

Did you try the suggestion Meglet put forward? Because I can assure you that the aforementioned Tarranoth issperfectly blind-friendly. I worked with the other developer to ensure that.

Dalekood, you might want to give the game Alter Aeon a try. It's one of the biggest text mmorpg's out there, and is really good in terms of accessibility. The address is http://www.alteraeon.com

You're having issues because we posted direct URLs to the games we're talking about. I guess whatever device you're using is having trouble with HTML, or links in general.

Hmm, interesting. Well, I'm using a braillenote apex running ks 9.3.

Hey. I can help you there, because I use a braillenote too. Unfortunately, I don't know any sci-fi games because I don't play them. There's a game list on www. whitestick. co. uk (remove the spaces). Some are non-accessifle. If you want help on other recommendations just message me.

Core Exiles sounds like it is exactly what you are looking for. It's text based, sci-fi, fully accessible, and very, very lengthy.
Here is a description from the audiogames database
http://audiogames.net/db.php?id=Core+Exiles

If you are unable to use that link, visit audiogames dot net and select Core Exiles from the combo box at the bottom of the page.
